Josephine Oloye of the Department of Ecotourism and Wildlife Management , School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, FUTA has won bronze in the Women's 400 metres track event at the 2022 All Nigerian Commonwealth Games and World Championship Trials in Benin, Edo State .
Oloye is gradually becoming a queen of the tracks. At the last Nigerian Universities Games , NUGA held at the University of Lagos , she won gold medal in the Women's 400m race.
The performance in Benin means she has become one of the athletes to be considered to represent Team Nigeria at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England starting on July 28.
The Director of Sport ,FUTA , Dr Alayode Ajibua said the feat underlines the excellence of sporting activities in the University and assured that students who are sports inclined will continue to get support from the University Management.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, herself an ardent volleyball player, has congratuled Oloye describing her as a pride to FUTA.
