FUTA Class 93 Donates 10KVA Solar Power System to Health Centre
The Alumni Association of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA class of '93 has donated 10kva solar power system to the University Health Center. Donating the solar power system on behalf of class of '93 sets, FUTA Alumni President worldwide, Engr Adeyemi Bello said that the idea was conceived having discovered the excellent disposition of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, towards humane causes and drive for excellent infrastructural development in FUTA
He added that the provision of the system was part of the association's continuous commitment to give back to the school for giving them sound education. The donation, he said, was also part of activities lined up for 2023 convocation.
In her response, the Vice Chancellor said she was happy with the reasonable gesture of FUTA Alumni class '93 and that the provision of the solar power system was timely. While encouraging the staff members of the University Health Center to make judicious use of the power system , she called on other FUTA Alumni sets to emulate class '93 by giving back to FUTA and also make FUTA their priorities in all ways.
Earlier, the Acting Director of, University Health Center, Dr James Olumuyiwa thanked the Vice Chancellor for always identifying with the University Health Center and also appreciated Class'93 for considering the Health Centre in its giveback endeavor .He promised that the facility would be used judiciously for the betterment and benefit of students , members of staff and mankind.
